How to dress an Inverted Triangle shaped body type

Your beautiful shapely legs are your best asset. Your upper body is proportionately larger. Inverted triangle body types have broad shoulders, an ample bust, and a wide back. Your hips are slim and your bottom may be on the flat side. To create a more hourglass effect balance your broad shoulders and chest with your narrower lower body. Choose clothes that add curves to your hips and bottom creating a defined waist. You can play with different skirt lengths, but don’t go too short.

Tops

Balance your bust with your hips by wearing tops that have:

  •  Narrow V-necks
  • Banding or nipping at the waist
  • Wrap-style
  • Tailored jackets
